You may be wondering where I came up for the title for my blog. I love Saint Therese. For one, she is my Confirmation saint. Besides that though I love her charism and her ideas about becoming a saint. She constantly reminds me that I do not need to do large actions to become a saint, but that I can become a saint by performing small actions with great love. Isn't this what motherhood is about? Every day I go through a routine of small tasks that to many would probably go unnoticed. But this is my vocation, and so it is these very tasks, no matter how small and seemingly meaningless, that will lead me to Heaven. Therefore, if I desire to be a saint, I should do these tasks as an offering to God and with love and joy in my heart! So as I clean the bathroom, change diapers, menu plan, budget, and sing silly songs I should be mindful of the fact that this is my little way to sainthood and to the Heart of God!
Beautifully written, Erin! I, too, LOVE St. Therese and often think about emulating her little ways:)
